Artist's ProfileIn Clare’s studio at Donegal Craft Village you can see for yourself Donegal tweed being hand-woven on a traditional Donegal loom. After graduating with a BA (Hon) degree in woven textile design Clare moved to Donegal to fulfil her desire to create a modern version of Donegal tweed using traditional methods and local yarns.Clare also 'paints with wool' on a loom using hand carded fleece. Blending the wool fibres by hand creates the wide ranges of colours used in Clare’s original tapestries. Commissions are undertaken for that special gift or interior design requirement. |
